Kislovodsk:the Valley of Roses

Location: Kislovodsk Resort Park, Valley of Roses
Description: There's an immense resort park in Kislovodsk that has the total size of nearly 5000 acres. It is roughly divided into three areas called the Lower Park, the Middle Park, and the Mountainous Park. There are dozens, if not hundreds, of different roads in the park, the main of them comprising six different travel routes which are employed in terrain therapy in local sanatoriums. The travel routes range from very easy which do not require you to walk uphill to very hard which actually require you to walk up two rather steep roads leading high into the mountains. The terrain elevation in Kislovodsk Resort Park ranges from 800m (2600 ft) to 1360m (4460 ft) above sea level.

This particular picture shows a very picturesque place in the Middle Park area called The Valley of Roses. It's a huge clearing where roses of many different kinds are planted, and many coniferous trees are planted along the roads as well. The road on the picture leads further into the Mountainous Park area, to the top of Mt. Red Sun (1073 m / 3520 ft) and then to the top of Mt. Lesser Saddle (1230 m / 4030 ft first peak, 1360 m / 4460 ft second peak), where the most difficult travel route ends.
